

The Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC Mostacci is a red still, dry wine, produced with Corvina-Corvinone-Rondinella-Molinara grapes, with alcohol content of 14º.

PRODUCTION AREA
Veneto, Valpolicella Classica, grapes from our hilly fields, 400 m above sea level, facing south-east.
TRAINING SYSTEM
Pergola veronese with a density of vineyard about 3,300 vine/Ha. Distance between the rows is 3,5 m, distance between vineyards 0,8 m.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
Careful hand selection of the best bunches during the harvest, following drying process of the grapes for about 40 days. Fermentation in steel for two weeks at 18°degrees. During this phase of wine reassembly and delestage, color and substance are extracted. Ageing in French oak wood of Allier forest tonneaux (capacity of 500 liters) for 12 months. Refinement in the bottle for about 6 moths before commercialisation.
APPEARANCE
The color is an intense ruby red.
AROMA
Intense aroma of black cherry and notes of wild berries.Cherries, raspberries and blueberries, spices and little vanilla hints.
TASTING NOTES
Smooth, velvety and delicate tannin taste. Full bodied wine.
